The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education and the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School are not liable for loss of personal property by theft.

The district and high school are also not responsible for the loss of district property loaned to students (books, calculators, musical instruments, etc.).

In a case in which a student loses district property, including loss by theft, the student is responsible for replacing the item(s) or reimbursing the district for the cost of replacement.
