Mrs. Glackin
Welcome to the Library/Media Center!
School One students visit the library each week. During our library/media class, our students get a chance to learn about different types of literature, learn about authors and illustrators, practice good digital citizenship, and become thoughtful researchers and critical thinkers. In our ICE classes, first graders are introduced to computer science basics, how to take care of their technology, learn coding and typing skills, as well as participate in group projects.
Students also participate in our book exchange program by choosing books to borrow and return each week.
About our Librarian!
Mrs. Glackin is so excited to be a part of the Cardinal community at School One! Before coming to School One, she taught a variety of grade levels from Pre-K through second grade. She was even a local reporter, writing about school board meetings, small business profiles, and many other local interest topics. Mrs. Glackin received her first M. Ed. degree from Kean University in 2009 and will soon graduate from William Paterson University with an M. Ed. degree in School Library Media. She loves reading stories, helping students find facts, creating engaging library programming, and introducing School One learners to new authors and characters!
